Description
The first in my collection of Disney Villains just had to be Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil from 1959's classic animated feature "Sleeping Beauty".
I've been working on this model for some time, on and off. I don't think it's quite finished yet, but I really wanted to have some render up here. So I embellished this as much as I could, and here it is I wasn't going for an exact replication of the original design (which is amazing but somewhat inconsistent throughout the movie. I mean, she's never drawn the exact same way twice ), I wasn't going for a fullblown redesign either. I just... found her along the way. Model done in Sculptris (staff modeled in trueSpace), textured in Photoshop, final render in trueSpace, postwork in Photoshop.
360° turntable animation of this model (video) -> youtu.be/eWuItQHjrZ4
Maleficent and "Sleeping Beauty" are property of Walt Disney Pictures.

How could all the villains of every film, other than Disney of course, have origins that tell who they were and what they were like before becoming what they are now?
