Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil from Disney's 1959 classic animated feature "Sleeping Beauty".
I've been working on this model for some time, on and off. I don't think it's quite finished yet, but I really wanted to have some render up here. So I embellished this as much as I could, and here it is

I wasn't going for an exact replication of the original design (which is amazing but somewhat inconsistent throughout the movie. I mean, she's never drawn the same twice

), I wasn't going for a fullblown redesign either. I just... found her along the way. Model done in Sculptris (staff modeled in trueSpace), textured in Photoshop, final render in trueSpace, postwork in Photoshop. This background was made out of some heavily Photoshopped screencaptures from the movie.

I love how you managed to give her that terrifying/disdainful expression. A lot of people have this tendency to sexualize her lately, but Maleficent is not meant to be sexy, she is meant to scare the hell out of you D:
